What is the overall value of the average 'Breyer Horse "? Recently I acquired a large collection.?
I have horses of different years. A variety of the collection series, and also a variety of types and sizes. I also have other animals such as bears, mountain lions, livestock, and a wolf. Some are already in the sixties. All in excellent shape.
It really varies. A common horse isn't worth much, "as says a Clydesdale horse. The regular route isn't very valuable, but if you have an old "no muscle" version then that one is valuable. Sending a horse away for training can be very stressful, especially if you do not know what to send with him. Fortunately, it need not be so bad. With a little planning ahead, and smart packing, your horse will soon be at school, and you can relax and know that is the baggage.
Feed
If your horse is on a special diet, you may want to keep it while away. Ask the trainer what is generally feed, and ask if you can submit your own. Some coaches will give a discount on your advice, if you provide your own feed, so be sure to ask for advance.
Pack your feed in a large plastic garbage pail with a lid that seals. The wheels work the best because they are easy to move, even when are full.
