Horse Safety
What are the safety precautions for the horse in a working cow horse competition?

Make sure you have a chair mount that fits well, right bits, good non-slip shoes and boots.

Finding a good instructor is important. If you've never been on a horse before, you do not have a teacher at an Olympic level. Sometimes this level of instructor can not refer beginners because they are so advanced in their thinking. You must be looking for an instructor who will teach the basics well. You want an instructor who honestly enjoys the people, horses and teaching.
You need an instructor who will teach the basic knowledge about horses, how they think, what fear, and why they do what they do. How do the senses of sight, smell and hearing work. They are large animals and very strong. They belong to the group of animals eaten by the other group, so you need to know how to make the horse feel safe around him. You need to know how to play. You have to learn what you have to do, why to do and how. A good instructor will teach the student how to use our intelligence to ride and care for the horse correctly and safely you should learn to take care of them, grooming, catching and leading, haltering and tying, and bridling saddleing, assembly and dismantling, sitting in the chair and communication with the horse. These issues should be taught before the student never rides and riding instruction begins.
Some instructors teach constantly 'head up, heels, sit straight, turn your shoulders, toes forward, and so on. " Education pose often results in a driver disk. It's hard to concentrate on both the approach and horseback riding. Riders learn to walk through the exercises taught to enable them to feel. First you need to move with the horse. Then, you direct the horse to interfere with his movenment. This is what they call "a horse from his seat."
A good instructor should be able to communicate clearly and logically and allows you to ask questions. Asking questions shows that the student has a real desire to learn. They must be honest with you, happy that students are satisfied with the way they have learned.
A credible instructor allows you sit and watch a lesson or two. Before committing to a series of lessons, take a couple of lessons to see if you like your instructor.
Get references from contact with instructors and students. Meet their complaints and compliments.
You have to do your homework before you just sign up for classes with the first teacher who knows. Ask people on horseback, visit local stables, go to any horse, tack shops to visit, go to the Internet and visit sites that offer advice on the subject of horses.
The instructor has completed any training?
The instructor is assured?
Is the facility clean and tidy and well cared for animals?
It is the tactic well kept, clean and safe?
Safety must be a good trainers first concern. Are all students the use of approved helmets, boots or shoes with soft soles and heels? Do you get along well equipped with clothes?
Does the instructor speak clearly and loudly so that students can listen?
It is the instructor gives you the attention you paid or is he / she distracted by phone calls, visits, stray animals, or other matters that could frivilous be served after the lesson?
Riding is not cheap. Like any other sport, you have to invest in good equipment and riding clothes dress. Your instructor should be able to guide you in the right direction for the type of riding you want to do.
After his first couple of lessons, you should feel good about learning more and trust should grow with each lesson. It often takes years to become an excellent rider do not be discouraged if you're not an expert immediately. There is much to learn about horses so just relax and have fun!
