What makes Joseph "Tony" Mosqueda tick?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070818/ap_on_sc/tortured_tortoise_2 VENTURA, California – A 42-pound pet tortoise who was slashed and maimed after being stolen from the garden for a family home after more than a month at a rehabilitation. The tortoise, Bob, heartily ate hibiscus flowers and roses – its first since a feeding tube pulled from his neck, owner Dorothy Sullivan. The 25-year-old African tortoise was snatched led the Sullivan Yard on July 7. Police, following an anonymous tip, found the injured animal behind an apartment complex. The turtle's hind legs were badly cut, a toe was cut, his neck cut and his shell was punctured with a sharp object. The attacker tried to cut the animal out of its shell and threw it against the wall, police said. Jose "Tony" Mosqueda, 18, of Ventura, was arrested and charged of animal cruelty. Sullivan said Bob is a friend to their 6-year-old autistic son William.
It worries me to hear people my age commit such acts cruel. Violence against wild animals is within walking distance of violence against domestic animals is one step away from violence toward people.

How was it?
Maybe you do not fully understand the German text. Read a second – And then a third time.
If you're observant, you will notice some details:
- Germany usually use a 'K' instead of a hard 'C':, Canada Monica = = Monika.
- The pH of English 'often becomes' f': phone = Telefon.
- All nouns are capitalized: = Frucht fruit, milk = Milch, Butter = butter, sugar = Zucker.
- Possessives not formed with an apostrophe + s: Bruders = brother.
- Sh's English 'becomes' SCH' shines = scheint, shovels = schaufelt.
- Many words are exactly the same: in winter, from November, Finger, party, wind, hunger, Film.

Or in cases where a person English say "broad" or "dame".
The German word "gift" does not mean "gift" – which means "poison."
